Cozumel To The Airport In Cancun.

What is a reasonable safe time to fly out of Cancun in the morning, taking into consideration what time you can be at the airport from Cozumel? Thanks.

Oh, one last thing...Whale sharks end of June, or too soon?

I was in PDC last week of June/first week of July, last year and Whale sharks were in the area.

Not sure, but bus takes about 65 minutes from PdC to Airport. Early in the morning there are plenty of buses fromPdC to the airport, but I don't know what time the earliest ferry docks.

Also make sure you are on the correct ferry, the one that docks close to the bus station.

End of June the whalesharks should be there.

The earliest ferry from coz to playa is 5:45am, and they run regularly from then. Check schedules for all 3 companies- mexico waterjets, ultramar and barcos caribe. There is only one dock for the passenger ferries, there's no way to not be near the bus station from a ferry.

Allow at least 2 hrs to get to the airport from coz. It can be less if you catch the bus right off the ferry, but that's not guaranteed.

If you have an early AM flight it may make sense to stay in cancun the night before.

Mayair also has 15 min flights from coz to cun for about $60.

Mayair is a good option IF you ONLY have carry-on luggage. It has very tight luggage restrictions, as it is a small plane.
