From cozumel
Went spearing saturday, turned out to be a great day for us. met up with my friend leo and he had some first time spearos out for a shot at getting some fish. Friday we worked 3 different reefs and saw plenty of shootable fish but the current was too much for us to get to them before they took off on us.
The last reef gave us 4 triggers though.
Bonnie shot a nice trigg and john, who had never spearfished or snorkeled in his life before, zinged one on a 30 foot dive. mine came at 45 feet, and 20 feet, all freediving.
After we got back to the dock we piled into the car and took our fish to the Pescaderia in town that I take all my catches to in cozumel for some of the best local seafood around. My friend Diego was pissed that we didnt clean the triggerfish before we got there.
Leo going bat**** on me and threatening to castrate me in 3 different languages, while cleanin a fish -
Ended up with this pile of fillets.....
And let diego work his culinary magic, triggerfish with rice and his custom salad, cooked asada and fried -
