Anything of carbdiver's list was recommended to us during our last trip. Two that stood out in our memory were La Mission and Poncho's Backyard. Enjoy!

If you don't want to stray too far off the beaten path, concentrate on Avenida 10 where you can't throw a rock without hitting a decent restaurant. La Choza, El Capi Navigante, Especias, La Morena etc. are all within a few blocks off each other on Av. 10. La Choza is great, but we found La Morena and Especias were better value for the money. My mouth still waters everytime I think about the conch ceviche at La Morena.

Albinos (your cab driver may know it as The Treehouse) and El Moro.

Casa Denis will make you "gringo salsa" if you ask nicely.

Man, that list just keeps getting longer all the time! Prima Pasta and Guito's for Italian fare. Rock-n-Java for any meal, it's all good!!! try the whole wheat pancakes and the chocolate, java & macadamean nut shakes. or any of her disserts. Ernesto's Fajita factory is good for breakfast or lunch. Casa Denis specalizes in snapper, it's been around for something like 40 years! Playa Corona has good food and a good place to spend an afternoon snorkeling or soaking up rays. The museum has good breakfast. The French Quarter another good one. and Capt. Navagante specializing in grouper!! yum yum!!!
... just a short list

Our family is going to Cozumel next week for a week long stay. :dazzler1: We were wondering if anyone has any recommendations for places to eat. Any help is grateful.
Thanks!!!

One dish you should give a try wherever you can find it on Cozumel is Pulpo in su Tinta (octopus in its ink). Despite the name, it's really good!

you really should treat yourself to Tony Rome's Emporium its on 5th avenue behind the Plaza and one block south.
La Choza is good also, BUT
a Trip to Coz is only worth it if you go to Jeannies Waffle House, probably the best breakfast I have ever had, and I have eaten in over a thousand truck stops and cafes.
Good Luck and have fun, and Hey if you can, stop in at Carlos and Charlies ( good kRibs) and look up a young man ( waiter) named Christian ( good mexican name ) tell him that Shawna's Dad is still watching him :) that should shock him a bit :)
Have fun we had a ball and if you can do one day on the mainland cavern diving, Look up Dennis Weeks at Diablo Divers he takes only small groups less than 4 and he goes way beyond great service and a fun time.
Have fun !

Many thanks for all of the great restaurant recommendations. One thing that has become quite clear about divers - they (and I) love to eat almost as much as they love to dive. Just look at the overwhelming response to my simple question.

Thanks again.

We definately wont leave the children at home! :14:

They are as excited to dive as we are!!!!!!!

thanks
