My wife and I have been diving together for 17 years (and me another 16 before then). She didn't want night dive so we/I didn't. Then, out of the blue this past August in Cozumel, she asked me if we could go. Hell yes we can! I could tell she had some nerves on the ride out and stepping off the boat into the inky dark ocean was very much a leap of faith for her. Everything changed once we were on the reef. It was just us and the DM so we took our time, saw tons of octopus, crabs, eels, ect., that you don't see much of during the day. Her eyes just lit up - it was awesome. Back on the surface, post dive, she said it was the best dive of her life. I pretty much booked a return trip (for March!) about as soon as we got home :) Night diving is now a must for us.
