I’m staying at the Iberostar Cozumel
A small dive boat (not from this resort) is at the dock
They are preforming CPR on someone in the boat-
It took 20 min or more for the ambulance to arrive- they took them away
Does not look good from what I saw

Tragic. I will keep them in my prayers. Can you identify the dive operator?

We were at the Iberostar when this happened, and my wife saw the CPR when attempting to go to the dive shop. What we heard was that is was a snorkeler from a nearby small boat tour who had a cardiac incident at the surface. The Iberostar is the southern most resort, so any incidents in the area often end up at their dock. I don't know the outcome, but the odds after CPR for that long are not very good.

As part of a first responder crew, we have done CPR for up to 60 minutes. Many variables involved such as witnessed or unwitnessed cardiac arrest, amount of time the patient has been down, age of patient, previous history, are cardiac drugs having a positive effect, has an AED been used and what were the results ? We do our best but unfortunately in the majority of cases the end result is not what we hope for.
