I was told by a dive master in Puerto Morelos that the diving in Cozumel is not that good, basically there aren't many fish. Is this true? I was hoping to go to Cozumel in November. How is the diving in November?

I would suggest that maybe the Puerto Morelos dive master has never been diving at Cozumel....

No pjhansman I think he's right - no fish (that way we'll have the reefs to ourselves while were at BA!)

Good point. No fish in Cozumel. Poor vis. Boring dives. No coral.

Everything much better in December though. ;)

My friends in Coz say, "Hello"

I read a few threads after I posted my question and the last time he dove here was three or four years ago, so shortly after the hurricane. The posts that I read said that diving took a hit after the 2005 hurricane but is is almost back to normal.

Thanks for the replies. I am planning my trip to Cozumel in November.

Also, Puerto Morelos has some good diving.

Thanks for all of the great info. Any recommendations on where to stay? I am heading down to Cozumel after a business trip to Orlando so I will be a single traveler and I won't need anything high end.
