Just finished packing...now I have to wait til Wednesday for the darn plane to take off.
Noticed where some are wearing 5mm..I packed my 3mm and hope it's gonna be ok. Anyone down there have any comments on what to wear for 2 tank dives/day?
How about the land temp at night..is it sweater weather yet?

I'm fine in my 3/2, and I'm prone to cold. I usually put on my surf fur between dives and that keeps me from getting cold on the second tank. It's pretty warm at night still, but when the wind blows I need long sleeves.

Yay. Bags packed. Dogs delivered to boarding kennel. Start journey to Coz tomorrow. 7 weeks. whoopee.

Heather and I have discussed this at length and after serious consideration we've decided we hate you. Seven weeks! Are you kidding me? Hate you, hate you, hate you!

Seriously though, we're just very jealous. Ten days in a stretch is the best we can manage what with three kids and all. One of these days down the road though we will be aiming for the extended visits like you and become the objects of someone else's scorn.

My wife is prone to be cold too but would be miserable in a 3mm suit. She's taking the 5mm for sure plus a hood just in case.

Really, 7 weeks? REALLY? I so want to buy a house, retire and stay for at least 7 weeks. On the big bird tomorrow to there tomorrow :bananalama: and I am starting to get depressed about leaving on the 22nd! :confused4:
Is it just me or is the chill blowing in with us?

First day of diving here in Cozumel. We went to Santa Rosa, Tormentos & Paradise Reef and squeezed in a shore night dive. Pretty good current at the first two sites. Saw tons of stuff today! Good size eagle ray, biggest turtle I have ever seen during a dive, biggest parrot fish I've ever seen, huge angel fish and tons of them, two splendid toadfish, stingrays big and small, a bumblebee, eels, squid during our night dive, a huge slug or snail inhabiting a conch shell and so much more.... Also saw a couple small lionfish (one was captured).:comeandgetsome:

Can't wait to see what tomorrow is like!

Yippeeee!!! I get my name in red tomorrow.:D

You don't want to come here, it's just awful. Too many fish on steroids! ;)

Did the Philipe (sp?) wreck this morning. Saw a huge crab, an eel swimming through a busted pipe! Night dive tonight included una loca tortuga and several octopus.

I know I'm excited because I'm about 90% packed and we don't fly out until Saturday morning. Usually I pack just about everything the night before departure.

ok- here it comes...the summary of my trip to Coz last week. Flew in on Wednesday, dove two dives on Thursday under cloudy skies so viz was just so-so. The harbor was closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday due to bad weather and white cap waves...but that didn't matter to me because I was "deathly ill" and had to call the doctor to my hotel room for a shot and pills. Kept throwing up until Sunday when I was so dehydrated I had to be admitted to the hospital for two days. What fish?? What reefs? What sharks? Couldn't prove them by me:depressed:...but boy can I tell you a few things about a Mexican hospital :rofl3:
Heard there was a pod of 12 dolphin, some beautiful starfish and two lionfish on one of the dives I was suppose to be on.....but I only saw four white walls and the bottom of trashcans.:shakehead:
Better diving to everyone else !!!!
