Beiji, you need to figure out a way to get some decent sleep so you can better enjoy your diving. Do over the counter sleep meds help any? I often have trouble sleeping when traveling and the OTC stuff helps me.

I have some trouble sleeping normally, but it's much worse when I travel. Add in the excitement of being in Cozumel and having so many amazing first experiences, and I end up being awake in the middle of the night posting on SB. I've never tried OTC sleep meds, but I sometimes take an antihistimine to help sleep. I may buy a bottle of wine and drink a little before bed.

You might give them a try. I fall asleep easily but am a light sleeper and once something wakes me up, which happens often when in a strange place, I have trouble getting back to sleep. The OTC sleep meds work well for me but I had to try 2 or 3 to find one I liked. Some were a little too good and left me feeling groggy in the morning. With the right ones, I still fall asleep easiy but stay asleep and wake up refreshed. I'd give them a shot if I were you but start out with half the recommended dose in case you stumble upon one of the stronger ones. Have a great trip!

Simply Sleep - it's by Tylenol and it's the "PM" in Tylenol PM. I use it occasionally and it works for me. I'm a wimp with anything that makes you drowsy so I only take it when I know I have plenty of hours to sleep or else I'll be groggy when I have to get up. http://www.tylenol.com/product_detail.jhtml?id=tylenol/pain/prod_ss.inc&prod=subpss#

That's what happens to me. I get to sleep then wake up and can't fall back asleep for a couple hours. I may try the OTC sleep med or the Tylenol PM that scubawife recommends. I'm actually not feeling that bad.

Thanks, scubawife. It's good to have a couple options.

Nice shots Doc, sometimes the smile lets others know how we are doing, for some divers it`s the shot that says, `I am having fun`.

nice pics...especially the one of the cute 'lil crab. You should enter it in a contest.
Thanks for the updates...it's nice to have someone letting all of us back here in the snow know that there's hope for good weather in the very near future(Dec 16).I do believe you've taken over DiverKat's job of posting. Thanks !!

I can't believe you're getting those images with a point and shoot! Are they from a shore dive?
