This is obviously not exact science but it has been my experience (and confirmed in postings in numerous forums and magazines including Undercurrent) that April seems to be a month when you can encounter some squirrelly currents. Not every dive or every day but frequently. The best explanation I've heard goes that it is the result of a seasonal change in the water temperature. Different streams of waters of different temperature colliding and creating drafts.
