did he sign up for the dive on a cruise ship? i signed up for one on royal carib cruise line. the dive excursion they sent me on had faulty equip and i almost got killed, in the end royal didnt care. it was prob 4 or 5 yrs ago. the equip was leaking and not working, we were 100 ft deep, the dive instructor stopped me from surfacing and it was a nightmare dive. royal said they guarantee their excursions, but when i went to them about it they admitted they dont check the excursion dive companies records and in the end they said it was my responsibility, which is basically throwing the blame on me when they state that they assure their excursions are maintained to high standards.
