Don't get too hung up on the room rates quoted on that website. If you look only at the Casa Mexicana, Suites Bahia, Suites Colonial Web Site, you'll think that the starting prices for rooms are $120 US per night. But if you go to Hotels.com, you'll find you can book a standard room at Suites Bahia for about $46 a night, or a standard room at Casa Mexicana for about $78 a night. Similarly, the website for Hotel La Casona Real quotes $85 US a night, but you can book a room there on Hotels.com for $36 a night. It pays to shop around for rates.

The cheapest rate for the Bahia (1-6 March 2016) on the link from the previous page was $54 a night.

I saw $44 a night on cheaptickets.com before using any promo code that might be useable.

Thanks for all the tips. I looked into it and found that Cozumel plaza, suites colonial and suites Bahia are the same price while Cozumel plaza is about 200 meters closer to the dive shop I plan to use.
any suggestions on which of these 3 hotels to stay at?
cheers guys

Personally, I'd go with Hotel Plaza Cozumel, just because it has a pool (on the roof, not very deep, but big enough to swim in) and Suites Bahia does not. But that's because a pool is important to me. Different folks have different criteria.

PS Don't forget the big taxes on good looking packages. But I vote for Suites Bahia

we have been staying at Blue Angel for several years, and always do their hotel/dive packages. dive days include breakfast.

but a lot of hotels & dive ops have stay/dive packages, but as some have said a la carte is just as fine.

most dive ops will pick up at most hotels/resorts from downtown south.

If your dive op starts by the Caleta I would verify that they will motor north to pick you up.

I suggest checking with Jeannie at Tres Pelicanos, we booked a trip for next year with them a month or so ago and got, what I consider a great deal, to Suites Bahia. We will be diving with 3p's so not sure if that helped with the room rate or not. I still say check with them, you don't have to book it.
