I've been with both Dive with Martin and Aldora Divers... both were excellent.

Congrats on getting married!! :)

I did two days with Eagle Ray Divers last winter and had a great time.

The Cruise ship docks are on the western side of the island, not too far from the ferry to Playa Del Carmen that I came across on. From the Ferry / Cruise docks I walked through the square / pedestrian mall you'll see right when you get off the boat and grabbed a cab to La Caleta Marina where Eagle Ray - and it looked like a number of the other operations - leave from. I think the cab ride was around 10 min and around $6 each way - I always asked how much before I got in and depending on the time of day and the cab driver you can sometimes negotiate, and you can usually split the cab ride back with fellow divers.

In terms of sites, all four of my dives were around Palancar Horse Shoe, Palancar Gardens and Columbia Reef, and all were amazing. If you haven't dived Cozumel before you'll love it.

I did a quick trip report when I got back - http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=88027

http://bluextseadiving.com/ We spent 2 weeks in Cozumel last year, 24 dives, and could not have been more pamperd! These guys are EXCELLECT! Dive gear was rinsed everyday for you, ready on the boat when we got there. Snacks were AWESOME, SIT time on the sand was done at a nice place, All the dives, day night and sunset were FANTASTIC. Pedro was our DM and Mago was our Captian and they were Wonderful. Mago has some great Magic if you ask he'll entertain you with. We had a group of 6 divers the first week (all friends on vacation together, we try to do this annually) the 2nd week it was just my Dh and I and so we had extra passangers in the boat with us almost all of them RETURN divers to BlueXTSEA! They are a DREAM company to dive with! Can't say enough good stuff about them!
Hugs, Irene

I'd suggest avoiding the Cozumel Equalisers. You can't rely on Darwin.

I've heard good things about Blue XTSea *and* they pick up form the town pier which is about a 10 minute walk (with your gear) from the cruise ship pier. Next time we go back, we'll be diving with Blue XTSea
