Back from Bonaire and the diving was good. Although , my trip taught me a lot of lessons. First Bonaire is not easy or cheap to fly to. Air Jamaica... changed flight schedule day of flight. No more direct flight LAX to Mo`Bay. Almost miss connection.Airports to hotel Bonaire 20 hrs. Bonaire is beautiful, great vis, warm water...BUT the reefs are very repetitive, really not a lot of fish life, and every night dive I signed up for was cancelled. Bonaire is expensive. I live in California ( which is expensive ) I KNOW this was my last trip to Bonaire. 20 hrs flight I can be anywhere in the world. Fiji,Australia,PNG, Hawaii,Thailand,Phillipines. I guess I`ve grown up diving wise. I loved Bonaire when I got my AOW.2003...200 dives later...I`d have to put it #3 in the Carribean behind 1) Caymans 2) Cozumel 3) Bonaire.Like Honduras...Bonaire is a great place to learn. The people in Bonaire are great , no break-ins (auto)Gas is so expensive $60 to fill up Toyota Hilux 12 Gallons (??? 60 miles from Venezuela ) Still it didn`t suck. 85 degrees in FebEl Orans:I'm just here to raise my post count!
