We went to Bali for a week earlier this summer, with the intention to re-start diving after a long (COVID + young children) break of several years, and also to get the kids certified as junior open water divers. Picked AB Wonderdive based on an email exchange with the owner Bjørn (the 'B' in AB Wonderdive), and couldn't be happier with the experience:

AB Wonderdive is -- true to its name -- an all-round wonderful experience. A boutique hotel on the less-touristed North-Eastern coast of Bali with a small number of beautiful rooms. A small, well-run dive centre catering exclusively to the guests staying at the hotel, located right on the beach with an easily accessible house reef. A dive school that goes the extra mile to make the lessons fun and budding (junior) open water divers comfortable.
