What I mean is it got me into the mindset of paying attention to multiple valves. Ya it doesnt help with the manifold, but I learned how to shut down a dead reg. By dabbling- I was reffering more to the bottom times than anything else. It's not a strong point at all, just an opinion I have. The dive objectives I have are putting me a touch into deco, and I have no real need for 300 cft of gas on my back at this time. I may use the H valves for my cave 1 class this month too. Still struggling with opinions on that.
I used my H valves for Advanced Nitrox/Intro class.

Thanks for not taking offense. Good luck with the cave class! I hear its awesome.

Hey Bones,
Not sure if this is what you are talking about, but I posted a question about breathing in and out of your wing as an ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT in an emergency situation and got flamed! It was just a thought, but even not knowing the physical risks (if any), I would attempt it if the alternative is DEATH!

Have you lived in G'ville long? I was born and raised there! Miss those damned Carolina Fine Foods chilli-cheese burgers!!

I think breathing out of your wing and breathing off the inflator are two seperate concepts...

Breathing out of your wing is...bad.

I'm told that if you hold down both the "inflate" and "deflate" buttons at the same time, and breathe from the inflator, you'll get fresh air from the BC LP hose, and thus not breathing the contents of the wing.

At any rate, there are so many other options (buddy, redundancy in the form of a manifold, isolation valve, or pony bottle, or a CESA to the surface).

Just what I meant.

They are mighty fine indeed. Just had one with a dive buddy about a week and a half ago. I get them with FF and Rings on the side. Yum.
