Hi,

My daughter was lucky enough to go Costa Rica on a school trip and came back with this report about a small town that lies submerged in a lake due to a dam being built.

She heard this is a very popular diving spot. She had no further information for me though

Anyone know of this place? Any details on the diving or links?

There's also a lake in italy where the whole town lies submerged due to a dam. One can see the steeple of a church breaking the surface. I'm also curious about that too, though obviously this is not in the caribbean

Yes, it is a city on the other side of the volcano Arenal. In fact at a certain time of the year the water level is low and you can see what was once the church from above the mountains. I am told it is way cool, its on my list for my next trip to CR.
