Tobin,

The corrugated hose has separated from the wing. I can stuff the plastic flange on the end of the hose elbow back through the rubber hole, but it slips out easily (upon oral inflation, for example). Is there a home fix for this? I'm flying to the Philippines in 8 hours and I'd rather not go with a rental. Thanks.

Vlad,

Sounds like you need parts, and tools, neither of which will reach you in 8 hours, sorry.

I would guess, based on your description, that the inner T nut has been broken. Replacing a T nut requires a new one of course, and the proper tools and knowledge, it can be a bit tricky.

Best would be for you to return the wing to us.

Tobin

Thanks.

I am sure Tobin will correct me if I am wrong but you might be able to fudge up a temporary solution that should work OK in warm water (little to no neoprene). the T-nut should be the same in both the shoulder dump and the rear dump. I would remove the necessary parts from the rear dump and get the shoulder connection working. So you can put some gas in your wing when you need it. They tape the hole for the rear dump with duct tape. Needs to be the good stuff to hold. It will not take much pressure but you should be able to get enough in their to at least float you rig. I did a week in Bonair like that (Oxycheq wing) and it worked fine. On the bright side, it provides an opportunity to get your weights just about perfect. Good Luck.

That might work if you had the tools and knowledge of how those items assemble.

I cannot however recommend diving with a less than fully functional BC.
