correlation btw BP and SAC?

I've been known to workout via strength training, bicycling, hill running etc. I've learned that taking fish oil and an aspirin lowers my bp a couple points.
Was wondering if lowering bp would have any effect as far as decreasing one's SAC.
I was theorizing (daydreaming) that if fish oil and aspirin effectively "thin" the blood, making it easier for your heart to pump a given amount of blood, said heart would be doing less work, therefore using less O2.
(Make sense? Or is my Starbucks too strong today?)

Has anyone performed any experientation along these lines?

Blood Pressure

The heart is not a big consumer of oxygen and will not change its utilization of oxygen by lowering the blood pressure. There is no doubt that a big determinant of pressure is the resistance of the blood vessels downstream. Too much resistance can result in an enlarged heart, and eventual damage. Surface air consumption is largely determined by the efficient use of oxygen (in the air) and is a function of physical fitness. Added to that is a relaxed rate if inspiration and exhalation.

Within limits, blood pressure is not a determining factor in tissue perfusion. As long as blood volume is sufficient, adequate perfusion will be maintained and exchange of dissolved nitrogen will occur.

In certain cases, blood pressure fails dramatically and blood flow fails. The most common cause is rapid loss of considerable blood. Shock can ensue and, if prolonged, results in irreversible tissue damage and “irreversible shock.”

”Blood thinners”

Actually, this common term is incorrect. Aspirin will prevent the aggregation (clumping) or red cells and platelets. This reduces blood clot formation. True “thinning” is a reduction in blood viscosity and can only be accomplished by increasing the liquid portion of the blood. This is accomplished by proper hydration, a topic discussed here on many occasions.

Blood Pressure

Within limits, blood pressure is not a determining factor in the tissue perfusion, including the heart. As long as blood volume is sufficient, adequate perfusion will be maintained [and exchange of dissolved nitrogen will occur].
