+1 for diving with contacts. I've been doing it for years.
I wear "Air Optix Night & Day Aqua" (wow that's a mouthful) lenses. I pop a fresh pair in once a month, and forget about them.
Even while swimming around with no mask & eyes open, they typically stay in place. The only time I've lost one was while doing rescues in life guarding class. I kept my eyes open while going after a panicked 'victim' and somewhere between the heavy splashing and the underwater holds I had one pop out.
Of course, when I travel I carry a spare pair... as well as my glasses.... just in case.
For the record, I'm pretty much blind without corrective lenses. -8.0 and -8.5, for anyone who knows what that means!:shades:
