How are the diving conditions in the Coronado Islands? I have attemped on-line research and, off-hand, am not finding a lot... wondering about viz, life, current, etc. Anyone been there recently?

Thanks!

Hi UniGirl!

I was there in July and had a great trip. I've been there a couple of times all on the Lois Ann Dive Boat. San Diego Scuba Diving, San Diego Dive Boats, Lois Ann Dive Charters Home Page

There are some triggerfish that got stuck there after an el nino current stopped leaving them stranded. They are a little shy but if you look close I usually see them when diving at the Lobster Shack. I usually see eels, sea lions and a whole host of other critters. Viz was about 50' when I was there last and the temp was about 65F.

The Lois Ann website has some information about the site. You should have a great time diving there. I highly recommend the crew of the Lois Ann as well.
