Is there a typical or more common length for the cord in canister lights?

I have a Halcyon HID which I'm changing to an LED and so installed an E/O cord. But now I don't have the old head with me and don't know how much cord I should get with the new head...

Yeah, 15 cm is a bit of a difference. Which light do you have?

MB-sub VB50. I'm kinda small with short arms I could easily lose 15cm.

FWIW the DR can light cord is 42" or 106cm.

LM is 40" or 101cm.

According to dive-aholic in an old thread "standard" light cords are around 42".

TillyTec 45" gland to gland.

Most light cords tend to be around 42 inches. My old DR and LM lights were that length. For sidemount I special order 50 inch cords.

My cord is custom length. Fully extended, in trim, I only have about 2" extra slack in the cord.

Our Yellow Diving HID's and LED's equipped with EO we standardize to 8" (20cm) / 32" (80cm) light head / canister cable length.
Throughout the decade we found it most fitting. Of course its for backmount.

Best.
