hello !!a couple weeks ago or so, i brushed my elbow against some coral.. i dont remember what it looked like, cuz it was a super current drift dive, but it felt like just a little scratch so i ignored it.. after that, it was itchy for a while but i didn't scratch it cuz i thought it was a cut. But the other day, I actually looked at it in the mirror and it looks like some zits/pimples on my elbow. Now I don't usually get zits on my elbow.. someone told me it might be bacteria from the coral so im gonna go see a dermatologist next week but was wondering if anyone here experienced something similiar?

thanks!

Sounds like Fire Coral.
Kind of looks like brown antlers with white tips. Can burn very bad. I get the kind of rash you are describing if I touch it. The rash can last up to 2 weeks.

Maybe someone can post a pic of fire coral for you to look at

I'm not quite sure if it'll be fire coral, because I don't think I've ever had the pimples, just massive burning and redness. try using some hydrocortisone 1% cream, can find it in any drugstore. works wonders on rashes and itches. I usually keep some for fire coral and jellyfish. learned why it was a good idea a few years ago from a floating siphonophore(sp?) heh
