Very cool video, does anyone know what type of sea creature is featured at 2:41? Black, orange, red and white spotted? They're beautiful.

It's a Pseudobiceros bedfordi, commonly known as a Persian Carpet Flatworm.

Wouldn't it be a lot easier to preserve reefs, rather than restore them?

I hate to put a damper on a noble effort, but what is the point of those statues? I understand the concept of providing a solid base for coral, but coral has already populated the area for millennia. Is there any reason (besides global warming) not to think it would recolonize the area again if left to itself, free from pollution, destructive fishing practices, etc.?

I hate to dive among these artificial structures. I see them in Bali and I see them in the Philippines. At least these were nicely rendered, so they are easily distinguished from trash, but that is a small consolation to me.
