I just got my new transpac and rec wing today from the local dive shop, previously used a sea quest black diamond, which I considered a great BC.

10 mins in a pool and I am convinced!! The low profile is unreal! I went from a jacket style to the Black Diamond and noticed some difference, but Man!!

If you want to be more streamlined and swim easier consider a BP/W. You will find that BP/W is no more than a high end back inflation weight integrated BC.

Welcome to the dark side...

Now, if you haven't dived the Transpac yet see if you can return it for a straight-up BP.

Take the next step to a plate and hog harness, then your transformation will be complete!

TransPak is for Gurlymen, try out a real backplate, they are even better...:D

Transpack is very useful if you are only wearing a t-shirt or dive-skin. If you're wearing a 3mm or anything thicker, then a good old fashioned BP/W works great. No need for the padded harness.

Anyway, congrats on the new toy. It's always fun to get more goodies. :D
