I actually did use them for a couple of months when I had my original drysuit (Whites Polarflex II I think) legs cut off for their version of the Rock boot. Bad decision. The Evolution boots were a PITA. I had to first find a pair and that took a couple of moths. I never considered getting the DUI boots as I didn't think they were all that great. I wear a size 10.5 and bought a pair of size 13 Chuck Taylor's. They fit the Turtles just about right. Everyone around me thought they were really cool. Lacing them up was a PITA.

O-ring:
I also considered a pair and my rockboots are actually relatively close to needing replacement.. I was gonna go with the red ones to match the drysuit, but I suppose black would be a little less flashy. Anybody gone as far as to see how many sizes up you need to go to get them to fit? I'd rather not have them look like Krusty the Clown shoes if I can help it..

I took a couple pair of Converse high tops along on an oceanographic cruise a few years back, and the eyelets most assuredly rusted. Maybe the newer ones are aluminum now.

2 sizes will do (yes, I've checked). Probably a LOT more if you got Turbo Soles :bonk: My experience was the eyelets rusted. My last all terrain Chucks were about 10 years ago... Maybe they've changed now.

The Flames do rule, but old skool B / W are the ones for me.

So to DIR your Chucks DIY style take apart 20 mechanical pens and remove the springs, then install as needed across your existing holes- Voila. If anyone needs a visual I could steal some pens from around the office and make a prototype ;)
