Well, here I am on another board to post things on and I've done it again.. jumped right in posting without introducing myself first. Actually, I kind of did in the FL forum already. To make a long story short, I've been diving about 20 years, but my wife made me get certified last year. My grandfather started me with using a dive tank to be able to stay under the boats longer to help clean them and "earn my keep". In my teens we blew bubbles for fun diving for tools lost in the canal, dock and boat maintainence, etc., but it was mostly freediving at that point because well. there was only one tank and it had no guages, just a regulator on it. So I took the class, had a blast, learned a lot (and how dumb I used to do things) and now am logging dives... though its now its less often than it used to be (work keeps interrupting the great days to dive).

My wife, also a diver, bought me a spear gun for my birthday, but I've not got it wet yet... I want to! Hints for that would be welcome and helpful!! I have always enjoyed artifact and recovery diving... its like a scavenger hunt! I've learned basics about underwater photography, and am pretty cool with just going down to look around and make bubbles. My wife (KBulla) and I both have our own rigs and a couple 5 tanks and our experience ranges from near no vis diving to 100+ feet visibility. My diving is all local to FL, hers includes great lakes diving in MI and the Great Barrier Reef around Heron Island, Australlia.

Well, that covers the long and short of it in a brief little paragraph! ~Aloha~
