Explorer Ventures and the Green Fins community have come together to celebrate coral reef protection in 2018! Focusing on diver education, #RedefinetheDive is part 1 of a 4 part campaign lead by Green Fins for International Year of the Reef (See GreenFinsIYOR2018 campaign). We as campaign partners hope to lead by example, inspiring divers to follow only their best underwater behaviors. Providing solutions to dive guides and outlining to divers how they are expected to behave underwater. The #RedefineTheDive contest goal is to further educate divers on how to be the more environmentally aware to have zero impact dives.

If you have to DONATE ... (with a minimum amount? wtf) to participate, it isn't a contest, it's a lottery.
I don't care about all the good things behind this (it could be the cure to the cancer..), but I'm usually critic toward any initiative that uses big words "WIN A LIVEBOARD!!!!!" (including the all capital letters and the exclamation points) ending by asking money.

I call this SPAM, especially because you posted this identical message in three areas of the forum.

Hello, thank you for your input. It was not meant to come across as spam. This is a genuine campaign for reef conservation initiatives - with the added bonus of winning prizes.

Each donation will go to The Reef-World Foundation, international coordinators of the Green Fins initiative, and it has to be minimum US $10 specified by Green Fins. 100% of the donations will go to support Green Fins work to encourage environmentally responsible diving and snorkeling internationally.

A Bit of Background: Green Fins was originally initiated by the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) under the Regional Seas programme - as part of the effort to increase public awareness and management practices that will benefit the conservation of coral reefs and reduce unsustainable tourism practices. It is overseen by the Coral Reef Unit of UNEP based in Bangkok in collaboration with UK charity The Reef-World Foundation. You can read more here: About
