Hey All,

Just got the gf to start her Open Water and on the lookout for pink dive gear (...yeah I know...)...anyway...I was looking for pink consoles, there are not too many of those out there...I found one that is relatively old...a Tusa Liberator...probably circa 1995 or so ...it has a small knife which is kinda neat, but the bottom timer has non user replaceable batteries...its a bit on the chunky side in comparison to today's more compact guages...however besides that its old (gf kinda likes its horizontal vs vertical style layout), and will have a dead bottom timer on it (maybe I'll glue on a timex over it :p) - any other cons? Guages should have a relatively long lifetime? (assuming the regulator it was attached to was never flooded)

Ahhh peak internet in Brisbane. Perfect one day. Backwards the next.

And to all you guests creeping around down there.
Become members, more access and it's fun.

Where else are you going to get one.
Looks in good nick, spg has a low warning light and temp guage. If there is a problem with the bottom timer be patient until you find a replacement. You can remove it and the boot until you do.
Remember it also comes with a Conshelf 21?
Get me some bugs or I might buy it.
If you wanna be in the pink this is what you must do.

Well there is a newer Aqualung Pivot in pink on ebay right now...but she didn't like the "looks" of it :-/...perhaps it was too pink :p

As for the bottom timer...it looks like from this thread http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/tusa/331018-tusa-liberator-console.html

it appears the maker of the bottom timer (Tekna) went out of business 15 years ago and there maybe no one who can change the battery...guess if I get it it'll be disection time....

Measure the old bottom timer. It may well be the same size as a new puck computer, in which case, just swap it out. New computer and a pink console, problem solved for the moment......trust me, there will be more issues. :)
