I could use some recommendation help on how best to hook up a ds125 to my point and shoot.

I have found the fujifilm f40fd to be great little camera, but now that I'm photo junkie, I realize upgrades will be inevitable. The first upgrade is a strobe that I can use with both the Fuji and a future SLR (saving for a Nikon D90 and Ike housing).

Right now, I need to find the least costly connector to use with my current camera and the DS125.

The strobe currently has a sync cord, which looks to be the Ikelite type connector (half the plug is missing) on both end.

I've seen the HeinrichsWeikamp optical Digital Adapter for Nikonos-connector (DA-O-N), and that seems like a simple solution. But I would need the adapter and a new sync cord (nikonos or SS). Yes/No? This solution should cost $160 for adapter and $90 for cord.

As for using Ikelite products, I can not quite figure out is what Ikelite cord/converter I would need. Any help here would be appreciated.

Any other solutions I should be looking at?
