Noticed this right above the listing of which members are on at the moment:

Most users ever online was 444, 10-03-2004 at 04:17 PM I guess that's 4:17pm my time, and - I was on at the time. Kinda' fun being there for it, even if it was greeting new Intros.

Helping make SB Bigger just makes it Better, I think, as we serve more divers across the US and around the world. :cheering: Yeah, us!

And - greeting new Intros is a great way to encourage the growth, I think. It's always fun to see how a new member reacts when he comes back on to see he received 6, 12, maybe more Welcomes. Then they feel more comfortable participating - even if they start with more questions about equalizing and buoyancy. :lol2: Our Greeter Team loves to do this, of course, but it's also good when other members pitch in among us. The more, the better, for sure.

If you had noticed any slowing of the service lately, this is the one of the reasons why! Each time i get the feeling that SB is slow i check the users online, lately we have had quite a few days near or making a new record in the last month or so. I am not sure what the latest member number is, but i am sure its close to 35k or so, i recall only a few months ago diving with NetDoc and him telling me it was around 28k and how thrilled he would be when it got to 30k - seems we rocketed past that target in short order!
