Hello,

I have a canon G11 with underwater case canon WP-DC34

I would like to buy a dome port for WP-DC34 even if they all look alike they cost differently what is the best?

Ihave found:

EWL-DC28 Epoque Wide Lens for Canon WP-DC34, 28 £ 249.99

EWC-DC28 Fantasea Big-Eye Lens for Canon WP-DC34, 28 £ 306.51

and also:

FIX x0.7 Wide conversion air dome lens euro: 228

which one is best? none of them produces vignetting?

any other brand models available on the market?

Thanks

Mario

The Fantasea and Epoque are the identical product under different brand names. They are all manufactured in China. I think the Dyron model is also the same. They are all .7 wide angle converters, "air domes"

Since they are the same, I would buy the least expensive. I have not used them, but it is said they do not vignette.

Here is a European website with details on Fantasea and Epoque models:

Here is the Dyron site:

FIX has two products: an airdome like the above, and a more complex and expensive dome with a glass lens inside. It allows wider angles, .42 multiplier or 130 degree view. It costs double the price of the others. This lens is made in Japan, good but expensive. Will vignette slightly, zoom in a little.

From USA, Reef has it:
FIX UWL-04 Fisheye Conversion Lens for FIX G10/G11 [fix.uwl.04.g10] - $549.00 : Reef Photo & Video!, The Underwater Photo Pros

From Japan, Yuzo at UWdigitalcamera is very knowledgeable and reliable. He shows the FIX lens details but it is always out of stock.
