We returned from there a week ago and during the week the water temperature dropped from 83 deg (Sunday) to 78 deg (Friday), according to my computer. Water was calm, but you might want to bring a 3mm wetsuit.

The water tempurature has indeed dropped to about 78 degrees; I don't expect it to get further down. This is about as low as it gets over here. Diving in a T-shirt is still possible for the diehards but a 3 mm wetsuit is preferred by most divers.
Last week there were rather strong currents along the coast. Baya beach is reasonably calm (dove there today) but the Car Pile / Pier baai, the house reef of the Dive Bus, experienced some strong currents today. The same applies to the house reef of Atlantis. Fisherman's wharf also got strong currents at the beginning of this week. I did a drift dive from there to the Crash Site last Sunday; that is a distance of about a mile and the dive took only 45 minutes.
Further to the West I have heard about strong currents at Habitat and Cas Abou.
Just start your dive into the current and you will be safe.
