I'm a Fish!
Anyone out today or yesterday? Report on viz and surface? Thanks!

Due South Charters reported 30-40 ft on an Inshore site, which is average. Seas have been settling since the report, so I expect 40 ft or better and 60-80 further off shore. Will report when I get back tomorrow.

Dr Dive sez: 40+ on YDT 14 and Pete Tide. A bit of a murk layer down to about 20 ft, then cleared out to 40+. Good surface and subsurface conditions. Lots of Endangered Red Snapper. Y'all come see us.

Today we had 40ft on the Oriskany, which is less than the 50-60 we had elsewhere on Saturday. However, I saw clear, cobalt blue water that was a degree or too cooler than the ambient temperature drifting in and out while I was on my decompression stop. Hopefully the crystal-clear water we had earlier this year is making a return.

Sunday saw 40-50 on the O below the murk layer which went down 15-17ft. Odd combo of wind and current on the surface SW winds are blowing in the murky stuff from the delta area. Still a good day, and better than average conditions overall. Things are good here. Y'all come see us.

Thanks for the replies! We dove Saturday/Sunday (June 30/July1) and were rewarded with around 60' viz on both days. The Avocett, Sunday, was flat out awesome! One of my favorite sites down there.
