Conditions in Japan?

Hello everyone I am headed to Iwakuni in March for 6 months and was wondering what the water temperature is like between March and August.

The only thing I'm worried about is a wetsuit because I am 6'7 and thin..ish. I have a 7mm suit from Xcel that fits great but don't want to pack it and not need it.

So my question is what mil wetsuit will I need so I can buy a well fit one here in America. Any other suggestions or tips are welcome, Thanks.

Hi and welcome to Japan. March water temps should be around 12 C and in August 24 C down there. I would go for a drysuit.

Its easy to hop a flight from Iwakuni down to Okinawa, the water is right around 70f now, and during the summer gets to the mid 80's.

cool thanks I will just stick to my 7mm wetsuit, I dive here in San Diego with it and water temp is mid 50's and it doesn't bother me.

I will defiantly be taking trips to Okinawa for warmer water, can't wait thanks.
