Search on for diver who went looking for conchs
A diver from Anguilla has gone missing after a fishing expedition for conchs. He went out towards Dog Island with a friend who stayed in the boat.

The report from the friend indicates that the line was tapped and when the basket was raised there were weights and conch in the basket. However, the diver did not surface.

The friend went for help and a search was started. Some of the diver’s clothes were found and were damaged but there was no blood on the clothes so it would seem he was not attacked by a shark as was rumoured.

There has been no official report from the police about the incident.

I wonder if it was a free diver, sounds like he used weights to decend fast then drop them in the basket while working.
