Here's the link to our Zoom Seekers presentation and discussion about the Conception fire and what we've learned and what's transpired in the last three years. We quickly review the accident timeline, discuss the NTSB report, talk about the new USCG rules, and comment on what other things we can do from here to insure something like this never happens again. The presentation itself is a little over 50 minutes and the ensuing open forum discussion (which I found to be very informative especially because the lead investigator for NTSB was an informal participant and cleared some things up and answered some questions) went another 50 minutes. If you dive on boas in SoCal or anywhere else in the world, this is stuff that could affect you directly.
