So, as long as you don't mind booting windows you can use whatever manufacturer software you like.
Well, that's just it. If he didn't mind booting windows, he probably would have saved a lot of money by just buying a windows machine in the first place.

Besides which - by the time you buy Parallels and a copy of Windows, you're spending a lot of money just to download from an already expensive dive computer. All things considered, most Mac people are going to be better served by buying a computer they can access without resorting to booting Windows.
 
Or just buy a Sensus Ultra to capture your dive data.
