I have a Sherwood Logic computer. The owner's manual recommends annual testing.

Does anyone have their computers and pressure gauge tested annually? After some other time period? After X number of dives?

I would like to hear input regarding this, specially from the more experienced divers.

I've heard of tech divers using two computers and pressure gauges for redundancy. I assume that once a computer has been tested and proven accurate and reliable the failure rate is extremely low. Is this correct? I am approaching this from a rec divers perpective.

Regarding pressure gauges:

How accurate and reliable are they, in general?

How accurate are they in measurements below 500 psi?

Thanks for your input.

I don't have my computers annually checked but I do send in my SPG when I get my regs serviced. Especially as in the first year an O ring when on the SPG - bit of trauma when you are a relatively new diver inside a wreck......
