Just wanted to let everyone know, I just finished my Rescue Diver this weekend. :D

Thanks. I know what you mean about diving more. I've only been able to get 86 dives in since I got certified in March. Damn job keeps getting in the way.

Congratulations! Even more important it sounds as though you really have the dive bug, and are diving as much as you can.
Just make sure you practice the skills you have learned regularly.

cool, congrats, i just finished mine this weekend as well and it was the best course i've ever took. totally worthwhile and soo interesting. i loved it and i'm soo happy now. :)

86 in the first 6 months is impressive for one who lives so far from blue water, like you and I do. And it looks like you've made a couple of ocean trips, too?

When I get on a boat with divers I don't know, I usually try to blend in {difficult for me} and follow briefings, but I'm always watchful for the possibility of a Practice Pit trained Dive Master who thinks s/he knows diving. The ocean kicks their butts, and I try to see if I can help without getting hurt. Their egos cause a lot of problems.

They give you a Rescue Dive patch to sew onto a bag or something? Don't do that. :D
