Hey everyone,
My wife, nephew and I have just completed our last confined water dive today! We had a ton of fun. I am really proud of my nephew he did an awesome job, had a lil trouble with the tables but he got it. He got a 90 on his final. In the pool he did great with all the skills, except he needs a lil practice keepin an eye on his fins lol. My wife and I did pretty well also all the skills went by really good and by the end of the day today we were doin really well with our bouyancy. Our instructor was awesome, he did a real great job with my 11 yr old nephew. He even introduced us to the frog kick and the dolphin kick today. Now all we need is our open water dives. We were gonna try for the boat on the lake next weekend, but it was full :( . So my instructor offered to go with us to California, just ourselves not on a trip from the LDS.He's great, nice guy starting to see what they mean in the last chapter of the padi o/w book about meeting people, going places and having fun :) If anyone has some reccomendations on places to stay or boats around Catalina Island, I would appreciate the input. I'll post that question in another thread also.
Sorry for the length of the post.

Thanks
Brian

the three of you!! Let us know how the certification dives go.

Congrats to all three of you!!!!:clapping:

Now is just the beginning of your underwater adventures. Don't give up, like I did 25 years ago. I am retaking classes, starting this coming Tues. and I can't wait. I know what it is like underwater and can't wait until the ow classes start.

:cheer:

Good luck in the open water.

Chad

After your certified, do not STOP diving. It is very important to get out and dive, dive, dive! This is when the learning will really take place and then your comfort level will also increase.

keep up the good fun

I posted a response in your other thread answering most of your questions.

One more thing, the water temp right now is about 68 degrees off Catalina.

Congrats and good luck on your OW dives.

Casino Point is a great place to do your OW skills.
