Compass handling with camera gear

Amazon is full of stuff to mount a compass. Again, all you need to mount to the cold shoe is a GoPro mount from UCLS or the China equivilent (of junk quality) and the GoPro helmet sticky mounts, the flat ones and a standard wrist compass. Remove the band, adhere to the GoPro sticky mount and slide into hot shoe.

I just tested a compass above my Nauticam and my FIX housings with camera and the compass was slightly deviated from magnetic north on both. But then people mount them to DPVs and the electrical fields around those are much more intense than a camera, beats me.
