how is the viz over there around the pier on average ?
I'm gonna possibly do a dive over there Fri then head to
key largo. Do you scuba far enough out to view the reef
or just putz around the pier area ? Thanks....

I typically do a surface swim out to the first reef line and then scuba out to the second and sometimes third. Vis can range from great to crap. But once you make it out to the second reef it's usually pretty decent. I am doing shark feeding on Friday so hopefully i can find someone to fill my tanks afterwards for saturday.

I couldn't believe the calm when I got up, but the sunrise was red so if the saying holds any water... but I don't want to jinx us. If this holds then we can begin diving tomorrow (Wednesday).
