Comfortable BCD for Ladies

Well, since nobody else has answered . . . I love my backplate rigs.
If you dive where your photograph implies that you do, imagine a BC setup that leaves the entire front of your body free except for two narrow shoulder straps, and a narrow waistband. The wing is small and very streamlined. Your tank becomes part of your body and does not shift at all. You can go head down to look in a hole, and nothing will hit you in the back of the head
And best of all, no matter what size you are, the rig can be PERFECTLY adjusted to fit you!

Today I tried on about 6 different bcds. The zeagle zena& lazer, oceanic hera, another ladies one I forgot the name of, and both the seaquest balance and the libra. My husband loves the balance, I was amazed at the difference in fit between the unisex balance and the women's libra. The libra fit so much better. For me it was mostly about the length. The balance really bothered the back of my neck. It is the same bc just cut for females.The womens is cut just a bit shorter and it made all the difference in the world for me. I am 5'4, 135, athletic build, not especially curvy, just average. Now I am just deciding between the sm. and med. I really have to figure out how much time I might spend in cold water to make that decision. It was a time consuming day, I went to every diveshop in town. POint being , check as many out as possible and if there is a unisex and a female version, check them both out. I was pleasantly surprised.

my girlfriend Dive the Halcyon Eclipse. Probably tried on atleast 15 differnt BC's and about 3 in a pool. Tried the Hlacyon on and walked out of store with it.

It seems to be a great, compact piece of kit.
I love my oceanic hera and have tried the pearl, zuma, plate and wings, luna......
Of the 2 you mentioned at the beginning , the pearl is heavier duty so depending on how often you are diving, working in it etc. The zuma was very comfortable and does exactly what it says on the tin!! (its good for travelling)!!

I'm a HUGE Zena fan....but what works for one may not work for another...
I'm very curvy up top and really like having everything zipped up into the corset, but it is still back inflate - which still feels as free when swimming as I do in a bpw setup!

I'm also a huge Zeagle Zena fan. For me it's the perfect compromise between a BP/W and a jacket BC (neither of which I like). I call it a "Corset and wing". 
Like TS&M said about the BP/W, once adjusted, a Zena never moves and you'll never feel tank roll or shifting.
I agree that you should try as many different types and styles as possible before you decide. There simply isn't one BC out there that's right for everyone. Find the one that's perfect for YOU and you'll be golden!

I call it a "Corset and wing".
