Comfo-Bite

Hi there,

anyone know where I can find authtentic Confo-Bite replacements? I bought 1 from LP and realized they were too short (plastic band tend to cut the lip) I compared it to my old comfo bite and suspect they are not original. I need to replace some old comfo-bite mouthpeice on my reg.

I don't know if they come in different sizes but I got mine from www.diveinn.com
and it was exactly the same I had gotten from LDS for triple the price.

But was it black?? I love this mouth piece and can only find the clear replacement not to mention its not the same!!! I dont care about color but they are not the same.

That was an issue for me too... everybody kept offering the clear ones. And low and behold, diveinn sold the black like for $3.95 when the clear was 9 bucks. I happened to order something else, so I got a couple to test. Was not much of a risk. I don't know if it's cost effective to order just the mouth pieces but fige it a go, they give you shipping estimate.

Is the black one "larger" in diameter at the connection point to the reg compared to the clear one?

Interestingly, I have a clear version of the Comfo bite (DES.303.440) that "tightly" fits an Oceanic reg. It's is stretched a little to fit. Looks like I likely will need a zip tie to secure.

I am interested to buy the black one, hoping that it will be a slightly larger diameter at the connection point to fit my Oceanic reg.

Any info is much appreciated. Thanks.

I think the back ones are also a bit softer... making replacing and zip tying easier. Still, our local aqualung lds doesn't seem to keep the clear ones, and I suppose the reasons are mentioned above. (Ah... if only I didn't toss that entire seacure into the not, boiling water...)
