I am a recreational diver going into Tek.

After thinking, asking and researching in every possible way, I decided to buy Halcyon BP/wings (27 & 55) SS plates, and Scubapro MK25/S600 and 380 octopus.

Would you think I need a depth gauge together with the air pressure gauge? It just get bigger, and I have both Mosquito Suunto computer and Citizen dive watch for backup as depth gauges. Is it important to have an analog depth gauge as backup as well?

You can run your Mosquito in gauge mode only. That will serve as your depth gauge and timer, the Citizen as a backup.

No need to spend addtional cash. You're all set.

While you can get by with computer only depth readings, I learned my lesson when my computer battery went out on an 80' dive while using 38% EAN and not carrying a depth gauge. I love the streamlined feel of just carrying a SPG (I use a compact Scubapro unit, its very small and easy to keep out of the way), but now I carry a loose depth gauge in my pocket just in case.

You know Scubapro has a mini combo of depth gauuge and air pressure, very small too...

DP - I was looking for this - do you know where I might purchase?
