Looking for advice from people who have been there.

I will be going to Cocos in early Nov. I previously missed out on a chance to dive at the Bat Islands during another trip to CR and I am considering adding a couple of days there prior to going to Cocos, although it would entail additional expense an inconvenience. Would this be worth doing?

Maybe not that exotic to some here, but I have never encountered bull sharks before, which would be the reason to add this on (not many sharks here in northern Ontario, Canada) and apparently there can be humpbacks around if you're lucky.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Keep in mind that big stuff usually shows up. As in, the day we went to Bats, there was nothing there. The next day's trip ran into a bunch of bull sharks, they were so excited that half of them came back the next day and we didn't, again, thinking the lightning doesn't hit twice. There were no sharks but there were a few mantas.

I.e. if you do go for it, plan for a at least a couple of trips, preferably more.
