Well as it turned out, no other Swampers were able to join us, but we had a lot of fun in the Comal on Sat. We got there around noon and there were at least 3 groups of open water divers there, working on certifications, along with a small rescue class also. There were also plenty of early season toobers and swimmers there, every picnic table was occupied. (We actually ended up sharing ours with a nice family, as they had nowhere to sit/eat). We took our time and did leisurely dives, met some new folks, ate a picnic lunch and relaxed. We didn't leave until almost 6:30 that night. The visibility was actually surprisingly good (usually 8-12 ft) for the amount of people that were on the river, we tried to time our dives around the groups. The last dive, we just laid on the river bottom in a gravel bed and let the fish come to us, that was so much fun! Very relaxing... Wish someone could have joined us, but maybe next time! In San Marcos, on our way home, we met up with a new diver friend that we met on our recent cruise, and he showed us all around Aquarena Springs- we would really like to take the science diver course and dive there, it is so clear!
