Hey everyone: Gotta a bit of a problem and want to see if anyone else has seen it. I have had 2 different Dacor compasses. Both of them have done fine in water down to about 10*C, after that they seem to gell up or something and get really sticky. I literally have to tap them constantly to get them to swing and read. Its not me holding them off kilter or anything as I've played with them over and over. I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this?
I'm looking at getting a new compass , does anyone have any recommendations on a model for cold water ? Will probably be Ice diving this winter so need it to work for that too.

...buddy I dive with had identical problems with his Aeris...switched to Suunto SK7 and no problems at 10*C...I dive a SmartCom and have also turned to an SK7 wirst-mounted...the degree of tilt is quite impressive.

Another vote for the SK7. 10C is quite balmy.......

No problems here with the Genesis Compass below 10C.

Suunto SK-7 here, no probs down to 4C so far :)

Don't forget the Deep Sea Supply bungee conversion for the wrist mount.
