I saw this movie over the weekend (It was SO's turn to choose)
I was very disappointed. The story line is as thin as japanese rice paper.
From the "minister daughter" to the "tall silent hero" along with the "evil suitor" the story is peopled with hackneyed characters seen in a hundred different movies.
As Sam Goldwyn in the "30's used to say the plot is Boy meets Girl; Boy gets Girl; Boy loses Girl; Boy gets Girl back. Thats exactly what happens here and varies very little from it.

The slight variation that does occur happens when the hero dies in a shootout at the end but even this uses a well worn cliche:
good guy and bad guy fire a shoot at each other simultaneously, bad guy falls dead, good guy stands erect, seconds pass (I thought not this device again!) suddenly the hero coughs blood, mortally wounded.
When you watch a movie you shouldn't be able to say what's gonna happen in the next ten minutes all the way through a movie but thats what happens here.
There is no orginality in this script
