I highly suggest that you all do an early morning dive also. Time it so that you go in while it is night and come out when it is light out. It is freakin awesome.

OH YEAH! Watching the sun come up over the Prince Albert. :cool3::cool3:

Maybe it's just me, but I've never thought of CCV as being a "scheduled" vacation. I dive when I want, get 3 tasty meals a day, take a couple naps a day......

OP, I use a Nikon D200 in an Ikelite housing with dual DS200 strobes. The walk back and forth for beach diving isn't far at all. You can also stage your equipment if you need to. Many times there will be divers around who will be happy to help you with your gear. I don't see any reason why the float idea wouldn't work.

CCV is a fantastic resort with a great staff, amazing diving, and more superlatives than I can use in a day. Where else can you get to in a couple of hours and lay in the hammock on your porch while an eagle ray swims below you in 3 feet of water?

OP, I forgot to mention -- I carry my rig on a rope with carabiners on the ends. I clip the biners to my ULCS arms and sling the rope over my shoulder. It makes it much easier to carry the rig.
